Nice but still not what I was hoping for. I would like to show a welcome page to non-fans only, and fans should be taken to my wall. It seems this isn't possible :-(

Hey Peter, seems like we are in the same boat.
I've also been trying to have a landing page for my Non-Fans, and direct access to the wall for the fans.

I've searched all over the web and could not find any solutions so far :(

Hi Marc-André, don't worry about it. Just set it up as described by Wildfire. All your fans will be taken directly to the wall, that's Facebook's default setting. The "Fan View" is only for fans who happen  to click on the "Welcome" tab.

Hi.   I really need someone's help here.  I've downloaded this app on both my facebook fan pages.  I am getting an error message after step 3.

The message says "We're sorry. Something went wrong.  We've been notified of the issue and will take a look at it shortly".

I've been getting the same message for several days now and I'm not getting any response from your company.

I can't find how to change the default landing page to Wildfire welcome page

The default landing page is not something YOU will automatically see when you go to your Facebook page!!! The default landing page is for FANS who Like your page! Just set your Welcome page as the default and forget about it!!! To set a page as your default on Facebook, you have to click the "Edit" link in the left panel next to "About" OR the "Edit Info" link at the top of your page. This will take you to a page to edit the information about your page. This is not what you want. You have to look over in the left side and click on Manage Permissions. You will then see the Default Landing Tab. Set it to your Welcome page and click Save Changes. Done.

Note that you cannot add a second Wildfire tab to your Facebook page unless you sign up for their PAID version. The Basic version is very CHEAP but it is NOT FREE!

But as long as i have 1 tab, i don't have to pay???

Rens, I can't say for 100% sure because the company is very vague about its pricing on its website. It appears that they only charge you if you run a campaign. So my belief is that there is no charge for 1 tab ... which is the norm among providers of tab-making apps. BTW, if you haven't given a credit card - and none is required to set up your first tab - then there's no way for them to charge you, right? And if they do ask for a fee, you can just take your HTML code and go use a free tab-maker.

Thank you for you tutorial i have managed to get up to stage 6 but have a question. I have tested my companies page as someone who doesn't like the page and the new welcome image is present. I tested it with someone who does already like the page and the wall is the defualt page this time which is also fine.

When viewing my companies page as someone who doesn't like it the default landing page is the welcome page which is fine but the wall is still visable idf teh user clicks on it.

Ideally i want just the welcome page to be there until the user likes it then they get full access to the wall etc? is this possible?

I accidentally uploaded the wrong image and now am unable to change it out. I've tried uploading the correct image several times, but the incorrect image remains. How can I get it to switch images? Thanks!

Is it possible to block all content to non-fans.. that is all apps wall photo's etc.. if not can you do it for some parts. I want people to like my page before they can see anything and so far have found no solution.

I'm using iFrames in the app page, facebook.com / nfservice and stopped workingthe second image, the falling wall, when the person clicks on tan, and the owner of the page, whether it falls on the second picture, what to do? installed in otherpages ... and falls into the second, pending, thanks.

I think I agree with some of the comments above. It seems to me that the obvious use of a welcome page is to somehow distinguish between fans and non-fans. To force your fans to continually have to click past it would only alienate them and make them less likely to return.

People with welcome pages on their websites found this out 10 years ago. Cool idea. Not practical. Just as, in the advertising world, the unfortunate fact is that it isn't the cool, sophisticated award-winning ads that sell products.

You need, I think, to at least give people the option of not having to mess with it to see the page. Other than that...all it is is ego, doing it because you can, etc. etc....all the tech overkill buzzwords.

Capitol cats and others, I think one thing needs to be made clear. I have to admit that it took me a while myself to figure it out since Wildfire isn't very clear about it. When you install the Welcome page it will be seen by non-fans and give them an extra motivation to "Like" your page. As soon as someone has become a fan of (has "Liked") your page the Wall will be the default page. This is actually a Facebook default. The "fans welcome page" can only be seen when someone who is a fan already clicks on the "Welcome tab" but basically it's not really important.

How come my manage Permissions doesnt allow me to make the welcome page my main page?

anyone found out how to stop a "non-fan" from clicking on the wall? I've tried quite a few of these apps and non of them seem capable of it anymore (I'm guessing this is new fb policy?)
